PROCESS:
1) Send me an email ( shadilyn@gmail.com ) including the following information:
Commission Type: (ex: Waist-up cellshade)
Number of character(s): 1? 2? 57?
Character info: You must provide an image reference or detailed verbal description(s). I do not design characters, unless otherwise negotiated. Description of their personality and/or any backstory (no novels please) are also appreciated.
Composition: What would you like your character(s) to be doing? Feel free to be specific.
Background: Simple / Complex? If Complex, please send a description.
Resolution: Low-res (for web display only?) or High-res (Print)
Other: Any other specifications? Resolution requirements? Deadline? etc
2) Reply: Based on the information you provided, I'll email you back with a price, and estimated date of completion. I may reject your request (though unlikely.) [?]
3) Please email me back with a yes or no. For sketch and chibi commissions, I require payment upfront. For other commissions, I require you send half of the payment after the inital rough sketch is completed, and other half after completion.
4) The initial sketch will be very messy. :P It looks something like this. Sketch and chibi commissions will skip steps 4 and 5.
5) Feedback. Email me back and tell me what you think. Change up the composition? Arm too long? Want to add another character? Keep in mind that the finished version will be much cleaner, so don't worry about stray lines.
6) Finishing the Commission. After the initial sketch is approved, I will no longer be accepting major adjustments. I should be done within the estimated time-frame I sent in the first email. Upon completion, I will email you a small watermarked version of the completed piece.
7) Further Edits? If you would like any minor adjustments at this point, please feel free to request it. I will allow a maximum of up to 3 rounds of final edits. Or, if you are happy with the image as is...
8) Payment. I highly prefer payment through PayPal. My PayPal address is shadilyn@gmail.com. If you would like to pay via Credit Card, I can send you an electronic invoice using PayPal. Pay by cash at your own risk. I have also received checks before, but take into account delays resulting from snail mail.
9) Sending you the file. After I receive payment, I will email you the large unwatermarked version. You will only recieve the digital file unless negotiated otherwise. I reserve the right to display the commission on my website, unless requested otherwise. Keep in mind commissions are for personal use only, not for commercial use, unless (again) otherwise specified.
